Switching between Starter and Scale

Buy the other plan on Whop and cancel this one there; your tier is the highest active plan and the new rate applies from the next Monday run.

Updated

Switching happens on Whop

Starter is €100 per 30 days at 0.5%, Scale €299 at 0.25%; Scale is cheaper above about €80,000 of paid orders a month. There is no plan switch inside LatchPay: the plans are two Whop memberships, and Whop is where you buy and cancel them. Change plan on Whop in Settings and on Fees opens the other plan's checkout.

Upgrading or downgrading

  1. Buy the other plan on Whop

While signed in to the same Whop account. Your tier becomes the highest plan that is active, so the upgrade takes effect at once.

  2. Cancel the old plan on Whop

From your Whop hub, at the end of its period or right away. When a higher plan ends while a lower one is still live, LatchPay keeps you on the lower plan without a gap; when the stored membership ends and another live one exists, LatchPay switches to it instead of pausing.

  3. Check Settings

The Plan row shows the new tier after the next membership check (within five minutes, or press I've paid, check again on /subscribe).

When the new rate applies

The usage fee is computed once a week, on Monday at 06:00 UTC, at the rate your tier has at that moment. A period that already failed is retried at the rate it was computed with. Nothing is prorated inside a period.

  • The memberships themselves are billed by Whop under Whop's terms; LatchPay does not refund a partly used period.
  • Nothing forces an upgrade; the dashboard only shows the numbers.

The suggestion in the dashboard

For EUR, USD and GBP stores: a Starter merchant whose last 30 days passed about €80,000 sees "Scale would have saved €X in the last 30 days" on Home (with Hide for 30 days) and on Fees; a Scale merchant with some volume at or under about €40,000 sees "Starter would cost €X less at your current volume" on Fees. The break-even is €79,600.
