LatchPay for coaches and communities
Teach Shopify sellers, or run a community for them? Share one link with your students, members and clients. It opens a welcome page that says LatchPay is recommended by you. You get €20 when a store you refer pays for its first month of LatchPay, plus 20% of what LatchPay earns from that store for 12 months. Stores pay the normal price.
Sign in or create an account to apply. No LatchPay plan needed. You connect Whop later, to receive payouts.
Not a coach or community? Anyone can join the affiliate program.
Already an affiliate? Keep your link and ask us for a welcome page. A LatchPay merchant? Join Refer and earn in your dashboard first, then ask us.
Who it is for
Coaches and course creators who teach Shopify or e-commerce, paid communities and groups for store owners, and agencies and consultants who set up stores for their clients. Your students, members or clients sell on Shopify, or are about to.
What your students see
A welcome page with your name and, if you add one, your logo, what LatchPay does, a short video and a Get started button, and at the bottom, in small text, a line that says you are a LatchPay partner and earn a commission. LatchPay replaces only the checkout of a Shopify store: buyers pay on the store's own Whop, Stripe or Mollie account, and every paid order lands back in Shopify. Your students pay the normal price; there is no discount.
How it works
Apply with your LatchPay account
Tell us the name your students know you by and where they find you, and add your logo if you like. We review every application by hand and reply within a few days.
Share your link
Your link opens your welcome page. When a student creates a new LatchPay account within 60 days of opening it, that store counts as your referral.
Get paid to your Whop account each month
Once €50 is ready, after LatchPay approves the monthly list.
What you earn
This is the standard rate. When we approve you, we may agree a different rate with you; your portal shows the rate that applies to you before you share your link.
- One-off amount
- €20, once the store's first month is paid
- Share
- 20% of the plan and usage fees LatchPay receives from the store, before tax, minus refunds
- For how long
- 12 months from the day the store's LatchPay account is created
- Which stores count
- New LatchPay accounts only, not your own
- Cookie
- 60 days, the last referral link clicked counts
- Hold
- 30 days, then ready for payout; refunds and chargebacks are taken back
- Payouts
- Monthly, to your Whop account, once €50 is ready; smaller amounts roll over. Commission from stores in other currencies is paid in that currency.
- Withdrawing
- Whop asks you to verify your identity before you can withdraw.
You need a Whop account to receive payouts. Without one you can still apply and share your link; commission is kept until you connect Whop in your portal.
Say that you are paid
Dutch advertising rules (the Reclamecode and the ACM) and most platforms ask you to make clear that you are paid when you recommend something. Say it where your audience sees it before they click, for example "Paid partnership with LatchPay" or "Ad: I earn a commission if you sign up through my link", at the start of a post or video and not hidden among hashtags. Your welcome page says it too, in small text at the bottom, but that does not replace your own disclosure.
- Say that you are paid when you recommend LatchPay.
- No paid search ads on the LatchPay name or misspellings of it.
- No spam, no fake signups, and no paying or rewarding people to sign up.
- No promises about what a store will earn.
- Use your own name and logo. Do not present yourself as LatchPay or as part of it, and do not use the LatchPay, Shopify, Whop, Stripe or Mollie names or logos as part of yours.
- Do not call yourself an official, certified or exclusive LatchPay partner.
- Do not promise your students a discount or a deal; there is none.
Breaking these rules can end your account and cancel unpaid commission related to the breach.
Questions
Do my students get a discount?
No. They pay the normal price. Your welcome page says that you recommend LatchPay and, in small text at the bottom, that you earn a commission; it offers no deal.
What is on my welcome page?
"Recommended by" with your name and, if you add one, your logo; what LatchPay does; a short video; a Get started button; and at the bottom, in small text, a line saying you are a LatchPay partner and earn a commission. LatchPay writes the page and can change or remove it.
Can I link to another page instead?
Yes. Add ?ref= and your code to any public LatchPay page, for example the fees page or a help article. Every link counts the same way.
When does a referral count?
When someone creates a new LatchPay account within 60 days of clicking your link, and it was the last referral link they clicked. Existing LatchPay accounts and your own account do not count. The €20 is added when the store pays for its first month.
How do I get paid?
Once a month, as a transfer to the Whop account you connect, when at least €50 is ready (or the minimum in that currency). Smaller amounts roll over to the next month. Whop asks you to verify your identity before you can withdraw.
Do I need a Whop account?
Only to receive payouts. Without one you can still apply and share your link; commission is kept until you connect Whop in your portal. Whop asks you to verify your identity before you can withdraw.
I already have an affiliate account or a LatchPay plan.
Keep your affiliate account and your link, and ask us through the contact form for a welcome page; we add it to your account. With a LatchPay plan, join Refer and earn in your dashboard first, then ask us.
Can I change my name or logo, or take the page down?
Yes, ask us through the contact form. If your account is paused or ends, the welcome page goes offline; your earnings stay as the affiliate terms describe.
Do I pay tax on this?
Yes, commission is income. You are responsible for declaring it and for any VAT.
