Whop's and Shopify's fees on top

Whop charges processing fees on your business; Shopify may add third-party transaction fees when Shopify Payments is not used. LatchPay hides neither.

Three parties, three fees

A LatchPay order touches three companies, and each charges its own fee under its own terms. LatchPay shows its own numbers and states the other two plainly; it does not absorb, hide or change them.

Whop's processing fees

Whop is the payment processor and the merchant of record on your business. It charges its processing fee on every store payment on your business. The amount LatchPay writes to Shopify is what the buyer paid, before Whop's fee; the net lands in your Whop balance and pays out on Whop's schedule. Chargeback and dispute-alert fees, when Whop charges them, are Whop's too.

Shopify's third-party transaction fees

When a store does not use Shopify Payments, Shopify may add third-party transaction fees to each order. The rate depends on your Shopify plan and is billed by Shopify. This applies to LatchPay orders because the payment ran outside Shopify Payments.

LatchPay's fees

  • The membership: €100 (Starter) or €299 (Scale) per 30 days, billed by Whop to your card.
  • The usage fee: 0.5% or 0.25% of paid orders minus refunds, billed weekly to the same card as a separate Whop payment.
  • No setup fee, no per-checkout fee, nothing taken out of a payout.

An example

A store takes €10,000 in paid orders in a week and refunds €500. On Starter the LatchPay usage charge for that week is 0.5% of €9,500, which is €47.50; on Scale it is €23.75. Whop's processing fee was taken on each of those payments on your business, and Shopify may have added its transaction fee to each order. The membership renews separately every 30 days.
