Fraud and chargebacks
The review queue: approve or reject held orders
Orders the rules held after the charge wait on Fraud & risk. Approve lifts the Shopify tag; Reject marks the order; neither refunds.
Updated
What lands in the queue
Orders the fraud rules held after the charge: the score reached the review threshold at Pay now or on the second pass when Whop confirmed the payment, or a rule set to Hold for review matched. The buyer has paid; the Shopify order exists with the tag latchpay-review; nothing has been refunded. The queue is the top card on Fraud & risk, with the score and the reasons per order.
Approve or reject
Look at the reasons
Each row lists which rules matched and their points, the buyer email and the amount, with the Shopify order name and a link to the payment on Whop.
Approve
Removes
latchpay-reviewfrom the Shopify order and marks the order approved. Fulfil it as usual.Reject
Swaps the tag for
latchpay-rejectedand marks the order rejected. The order stays in Shopify and the payment stays on Whop: rejecting is a note to yourself, not a refund.
Approve and Reject never move money
The only refunds LatchPay makes are the two opt-in automatic ones in the fraud settings. Everything else you do on Whop.
Refunding a rejected order
Open the payment on Whop from the row and refund it there. LatchPay mirrors the refund into the Shopify order and credits the usage fee on the next weekly run. Cancel or archive the Shopify order yourself.
Where else it shows
- Home's "Needs attention" card counts "N orders held by the fraud rules".
- The Needs review tab on Orders lists the same orders until you decide; the reason starts with "Held by the fraud rules".
- A decision strips that sentence; the review flag stays only when another reason remains (a short payment, a bypassed stock claim, a duplicate charge).
