The LatchPay checkout does not open

Shopify’s checkout is the fallback, by design

Checks, in order

   Is the checkout on?

   The Theme snippet page shows the pill. LatchPay checkout is off: switch it on in Settings. Switched on, but paused: see Checkouts are paused or off.

   Is the line seen?

   Not seen in the last 10 minutes means the store is not loading the line. See The theme line is not seen.

   Reload the storefront

   The browser caches the config answer for 60 seconds; after switching on, open a fresh page or a private window.

   Try with an empty extensions list

   A content blocker on your device can block the line or the call that creates the session; buyers without it are fine. Test in a private window.

   Check the cart

   An empty cart, or a cart with only items the store cannot sell any more, cannot become a checkout; Shopify handles it.

A button that is not intercepted

The line intercepts the cart form's Checkout button, links to /checkout and discount links that redirect there, Buy it now, and the checkout buttons of common cart drawer apps, plus a backstop for scripts that set the page address to /checkout. A custom app button it does not recognise can be added for your store; tell us what you see with the app's name and we add its selector. Add-to-cart forms are never touched.

The checkout opens but shows an error

• This store cannot take payments right now. The Whop connection is missing or pending; the line should not have intercepted, so the buyer was sent from a cached page. Fix the connection.
• Some items in your cart are no longer available. Stock ran out between the cart and Pay now.
• Your total changed. Please review your order before paying. Shopify re-quoted a different amount at Pay now (a price edit, an expired code); the buyer confirms the new total.
• We could not complete this payment. Please contact the store. The fraud rules declined the checkout before any charge; the dashboard's Fraud & risk page explains the rules.
• The payment could not be started. Whop refused the payment; the buyer checks their payment details and tries again, or picks another method. No order exists until Whop confirms a payment.
