How stores work in LatchPay

One LatchPay account can run several Shopify stores. You sign in once, pay one membership, and every store gets its own connection, its own checkout switch and its own settings. Each store pays into a Whop business you choose: the same business as another store, or a different one.

• Per store: the Shopify connection, the Whop business it pays into, the theme line, checkout on or off, the checkout look, tracking pixels, fraud rules, abandoned-checkout export, orders, insights and disputes.
• Per account: your sign-in, your membership and plan, and the card the usage fee is charged to.

Add a store in three steps

Open the business button at the top left of the dashboard (it shows the current store's name) and choose Add another store. It takes about ten minutes, most of it in Shopify.

   Connect the Shopify store

   The same custom-app steps as your first store: create a custom app in that store's Dev Dashboard with the scopes LatchPay lists, install it on the store, and paste its Client ID and Client secret. You can also give the store a name for the dashboard under Name in LatchPay; without one LatchPay uses the Shopify shop name. Press Verify and add store.    Which Whop business receives this store's payments?

   LatchPay lists the Whop businesses already connected to your account, with the stores that pay into each. Pick one and press Use this business, or choose Connect a different Whop business: pick one of your other businesses on Whop, install the LatchPay app on it, and let LatchPay verify it, as in Connect your Whop business.

   Paste the store's theme line

   The page shows the theme line for this store, with its domain filled in. Paste it above </body> in that store's layout/theme.liquid, as in The theme line.

One business or a different one

Buyers are always charged on the Whop business linked to their store, never on LatchPay. Payouts, refunds and disputes stay on that business.

• The same business for several stores is simplest: one business, one payout, one place for refunds and disputes. LatchPay tells the stores apart by the checkout each payment came from.
• A different business per store makes sense when each store should have its own name, offer and URL on Whop, or its own payouts.
• To change a store's business later, select the store and open the Whop page. Choosing a different business pauses that store's checkout until the new one is linked. A business other stores still pay into stays connected for them.

Switching between stores

The business button lists every store with its domain and the business it pays into; a check marks the current one. Choose a store to switch: every page (Home, Orders, Insights, Fees, Fraud & risk, Chargebacks, Checkout, Tracking, Theme snippet, Settings) then shows that store only. Manage stores opens the Shopify page; once you have more than one store it lists them all with their business and status, a Switch to button and Disconnect.

Fees with more than one store

• One membership covers every store. There is no charge per store.
• The usage fee is computed per store, in that store's own currency, at your plan's rate, and charged weekly to the card on your LatchPay membership. A EUR store is billed in euros, a USD store in dollars; nothing is converted.

Good to know

• A Shopify store can be connected to one LatchPay account only. If LatchPay says a store is already connected to another account, sign in with that account instead.
• A failed fee charge or a missing Whop business pauses only the store it belongs to; a lapsed membership pauses every store.
• Disconnecting a store deletes its Shopify credentials. Its orders stay in Shopify and its payments on Whop, and the usage fee on what it sold before the disconnect is still charged in the next weekly run.
• A Whop business can be connected to one LatchPay account only. Disconnect it in the other account first if you want to use it here.
